Electricity generators in construction: types and selection

During the construction of the house. This is when the site has not yet been electrified, but it’s time to start work and organize life in the makeshift shed.

With a home model of a generator with a power of 2.5-3.5 kW, you can illuminate a construction site or charge the battery and connect tools with a soft start mode via wire: electric drills, grinders and jigsaws. The generator can also heat the cabin with an oil radiator and allow you to boil a kettle.

But you’ll have to choose: either work with a power tool, or warm up in a shed—both of which a simple generator won’t do. And to connect welding, a compressor or a concrete mixer, you will need models with a power of 5.5 kW and preferably with a three-phase 380 V outlet.
