How to eliminate liquid nails from the surface
Before starting serious finishing measures, it is usually required to bring the surface to the working condition. If earlier liquid nails were used to consolidate any materials, then it is not so easy to hold such measures. It is quite difficult to eliminate liquid nails, but the methods of performing such work exist.
First you need to choose a suitable solvent that can separate the liquid nails from the surface. Liquid nails are treated with a solvent and left until the substance is absorbed. Only then proceed to the mechanical elimination of the material.
You can try to remove liquid nails after such treatment with an ordinary knife. But it is possible to do this infrequently. A much more effective way is the use of a chisel or a metal spatula, which the surface can be completely cleaned without leaving a trace of liquid nails as a result.
When the material is eliminated, the surface must be thoroughly degreased, washed with water and then dry. Only then they move directly to the draft, since the surface will already be well prepared for this.
